Content Circles is an ideal solution for small-to-medium size enterprises (SMEs) looking for a basic content management solution that is easy-to-use, secure and low-cost. Content Circles provides all of the basic content management functionality, or what Gartner Research refers to as Basic Content Services (BCS), – access control, versioning, check-in, check-out, search, backup, recovery – as a simple, IT-free, and very affordable service that can be instantly deployed. Content Circles also integrates with enterprise content management (ECM) systems such as Microsoft SharePoint, Xerox DocuShare and Alfresco Enterprise. The integrations provide users of ECM systems, typically workgroups in larger enterprises and government, a simple and robust mechanism to securely share and collaborate on content from the ECM systems with people outside the enterprise. A Content Circles user simply drags a file from an ECM system into a circle and invites outside people to collaborate in that circle. As content gets reviewed and edited, Content Circles keeps track of all actions, and enables the user to sync any changes back to the source ECM system with the push of a button. In essence, Content Circles securely "extends" content management to people outside the enterprise.
